Facebook Video Download

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Find the Facebook video. Open Facebook and navigate to the video you want to download. This works with video posts in your feed, Facebook Watch content, Reels, and videos shared in groups.

Step 2: Copy the video URL. Click on the video to open it, then copy the URL from your browser's address bar. You can also click the share button and select "Copy link". Facebook video URLs typically look like facebook.com/watch/?v=... or facebook.com/reel/...

Step 3: Paste and fetch the video. Paste the URL into the input field above and click "Get Video". Our tool retrieves the video information, including a preview thumbnail, title, and author name.

Step 4: Download in HD. Preview the video to confirm it's what you want, then click "Download Video (HD)". The tool automatically selects the highest quality version available, prioritizing HD when the video was uploaded in high definition.

Video posts. Regular videos shared on personal profiles, pages, or in groups. These appear in the news feed and can be downloaded if the privacy settings allow public access.

Facebook Watch videos. Content from Facebook's dedicated video platform, including shows, clips, and creator content. These have URLs containing "/watch/" and download in full quality.

Facebook Reels. Short-form vertical videos similar to TikTok and Instagram Reels. These have URLs containing "/reel/" and work great with our downloader.

Live videos (after broadcast). Once a Facebook Live video ends and is saved, it becomes a regular video that can be downloaded. Live streams in progress cannot be downloaded.

Not supported: Private videos and Stories. Videos from private profiles, private groups, or Facebook Stories cannot be downloaded as they require authentication. Only publicly accessible content works.

Offline viewing. Save videos before traveling or for areas with limited internet. Watch entertaining or educational content without using mobile data or requiring a connection.

Preserving memories. Download family videos, event recordings, or memorable content shared by friends. Facebook posts can be deleted, and having a local copy preserves those moments.

Use the direct video URL. Make sure you're copying the URL of the specific video, not a profile or page URL. Click on the video to open it in its own view, then copy from the address bar.

Check privacy settings. Videos must be publicly accessible. If you can view the video in an incognito/private browser without logging in, it should work with our tool.

HD quality is automatic. Our tool automatically selects HD quality when available. You don't need to choose—the best version is selected for you.
