Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Upload your images. Drag and drop multiple images, or click to browse. The number of images needed depends on your chosen layout (4 for 2×2, 9 for 3×3, etc.).

Step 2: Choose a layout. Select from 6 grid options: 2×2, 3×3, 2×3, 3×2, 1×4 (horizontal row), or 4×1 (vertical column). Each shows how many images are required.

Step 3: Arrange images. Drag and drop image thumbnails to reorder them. The number below each shows its position in the grid (left-to-right, top-to-bottom).

Step 4: Customize and create. Adjust spacing between images, set output width, and choose a background color. Click "Create Collage" to generate. Preview and download when ready.

2×2 Grid (4 images). Classic square grid. Perfect for Instagram carousel previews, before/after comparisons, or showcasing four related images. Popular with fashion brands and e-commerce businesses showcasing products.

3×3 Grid (9 images). Larger grid for more comprehensive collections. Great for portfolio showcases, event highlights, or photo series.

2×3 Grid (6 images). Vertical-oriented collage with 2 columns and 3 rows. Good for portrait photos and mobile-friendly presentations.

3×2 Grid (6 images). Horizontal-oriented collage with 3 columns and 2 rows. Ideal for landscape photos and wide presentations.

1×4 Row (4 images). Single horizontal row of images. Perfect for timeline sequences, step-by-step processes, or horizontal banners.

4×1 Column (4 images). Single vertical column of images. Great for before/after sequences, story progression, or vertical displays.

Spacing (0-50px). Gap between images. 0px creates seamless edges. 10-20px is standard. Larger spacing emphasizes separation and shows more background.

Output width (400-4000px). Final collage width in pixels. Height adjusts automatically based on layout. 1080px works well for social media. Go higher for print quality.

Background color. The color visible in spacing between images. White is clean and neutral. Black adds drama. Match your brand colors for consistency.

Use similar images. Images with similar lighting, color tones, and subjects create cohesive collages. Mix disparate images only intentionally for contrast.

Consider image cropping. Images are center-cropped to fit square cells. Position important content in the center of your source images. Use the Image Cropper to prepare images beforehand.

Think about reading order. Viewers typically scan left-to-right, top-to-bottom. Arrange images to tell a story or highlight key shots in prominent positions.

Maintain consistent orientation. Mixing portrait and landscape photos works but requires careful cropping. For best results, use images with similar aspect ratios.
